Tesla's supplier Panasonic weighs more investment in Kansas

TOKYO -- Tesla battery supplier Panasonic Energy is weighing additional investment in the U.S. state of Kansas despite concerns that demand for electric vehicles is slowing, Nikkei Asia has learned.

Sources, including one with direct knowledge of the matter, say the Japanese electric vehicle battery maker is assessing whether to add production capacity beyond what it is currently building in the city of De Soto.
