Vietnam jumps into made-in-Asia generative AI race

HANOI/BEIJING/SEOUL -- Vietnam has joined the race in Asia to develop generative artificial intelligence programs that cater to local languages and cultures, as well as shedding dependency on services offered by U.S. tech groups.

Vietnamese conglomerate Vingroup's ViGPT made quite a stir when it was unveiled, stunning the audience after it corrected people who purposefully made confusing or false statements.
