World leaders seek ties with Prabowo after Indonesia election

JAKARTA -- World leaders started congratulating Indonesian Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto after he took a big lead in last week's presidential election, seeking to strengthen relationships with the probable next leader of a country with a growing international presence.

A tally as of Monday afternoon by the General Elections Commission (KPU) with about 71.14% of the votes counted showed Prabowo leading with 58% of the votes.
